Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th, 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her father taught at school, while her mother was a housewife. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick began singing and performing from a young age. After winning the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get involved in the industry of entertainment. McCormick's first job as a professional was in 1964, where she was featured in a TV commercial for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964, for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the lead role in Wind It Up and It breaks, a production in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won a 1969 audition from more than 1200 children to become the youngest of three twins in the TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed together with Robert Reed. This show lasted for five years. McCormick wrote in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having lost her virginity during the fifth season of the show in the presence of Barry Williams, her co-star and on-screen brother. The actress was just 16 years older and the actor aged 19 at the time. She said that it would have been feasible, but we never had the right timing.
